Mirror Mirror on the Wall … where’s the greatest panto of them all! It has to be Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Assembly Hall Theatre, of course!

Following last year’s record breaking pantomime, we are delighted to be bringing Snow White to the Assembly Hall Theatre stage for what promises to be our biggest production yet.

UK Productions and the Assembly Hall Theatre proudly present ‘SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS’ at the Assembly Hall Theatre from Friday 9 December ’16 to Mon 2 Jan ’17.

The legendary SU POLLARD famous for playing the loveable Maplin’s chalet maid, Peggy Ollerenshaw in He De Hi, will headline the Assembly Hall Theatre’s Christmas 2016 pantomime as the Wicked Queen.  One of the nation’s favourite entertainers, Su is known for her roles as Ivy Teasdale, the rather naive maid, the daughter of Alf  in You Rang M’Lord? and as the scatter-brained ticket clerk Ethel in Oh, Doctor Beeching! A veteran pantomime performer, she has also appeared in numerous pantomimes and more recently, in various TV shows such as Benidorm and Loose Women as well as on stage in numerous productions including Menopause the Musical and Romeo and Juliet.

Joining Su as the court jester Muddles will be JAMIE RICKERS.  A familiar face on CiTV and Nickelodeon, with hosting Toonattik and Jamie and Anna’s U-Pick Summer, Jamie wowed Tunbridge Wells’s audiences last year as Buttons in Cinderella.

Everyone loves Snow White and there couldn’t be a more beautiful Snow White than MILLIE BOOTH. She has enjoyed several pantomime seasons as Princess, including Cinderella, Aladdin and Jack and the Beanstalk.  Millie has played a variety of roles, including Josephine in HMS Pinafore and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas as well as concert performances including “A Tribute to Dora Bryan” at the Haymarket Theatre, London and a concert version of West Side Story at the Sheldonian Theatre, alongside Scottish tenor Nicky Spence with the Oxford Philomusica Orchestra.

West End theatre and feature film actor CHRIS WARNER DRAKE is the handsome prince.  Trained at Arts Educational Schools London, Chris’s theatre credits include: Mamma Mia (2005), Chicago (2006)Priscilla Queen of The Desert (2010), Starlight Express (2013), Broadway and Beyond (2014) and Hairspray (2014). His film credits include: Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), Jack the Giant Slayer (2011).

A seasoned performer with a wealth of experience in theatre and cabaret, Panto dame extraordinaire, JAMIE STEEN, plays the hilarious Nursie, whilst completing the line up is a cast of seven dwarfs including DARREN HORAN and ALI MAWJI creating more madness and mayhem as they try to keep Snow White safe from the evil clutches of The Wicked Queen.

MARTIN DODD, Director of UK Productions says: “We have a cast led by the irrepressible bundle of energy and talent that is the legendary Su Pollard, the return of comic and TV Presenter Jamie Rickers who had audiences in stitches last year as Buttons, a beautiful Snow White (Millie Booth) and a gorgeous Prince (Chris Warner Drake), one of the country’s leading Dames (Jamie Steen) and of course seven real Dwarfs. Add to that new sets and sparkling costumes and audiences are in for a real treat.”

Theatre Director of the Assembly Hall Theatre JOHN-JACKSON (JJ) ALMOND says: “Panto season is one of my favourite times of the year, and this will be my first season as Director of Assembly Hall Theatre, so I am looking forward to meeting many of our local families both at the theatre and at the ice rink as we enjoy the festive season together!”
