FCFAA A CACDFThe Tour de France is an annual men’s multiple stage bicycle race primarily held in France, while also occasionally passing through nearby countries. It consists of 21 day-long stages over the course of 23 days. It has been described as “the world’s most prestigious and most difficult bicycle race”. The race was first organized in 1903 to increase sales for the newspaper L’Auto and is currently run by the Amaury Sport Organisation. As the Tour gained prominence and popularity, the race was lengthened and its reach began to extend around the globe. Participation expanded from a primarily French field, as riders from all over the world began to participate in the race each year. It has become “the world’s biggest annual sporting event.”

Lots of cars, police, people everywhere.  Decorative paper chains hung between the houses with small paper cyclodresses. Thanks to early arrival in this city we found a parking place at the end of the city on the verge. On the way to the center, we have met enthusiastic fans in polka-dot shirts. The entertainment center was in the vicinity of the roundabout where cyclists were supposed to ride in a few hours. There were two big screens where waiting fans could watch the live event. The atmosphere was even better because of the fact that most people wore the same polka-dot shirts that were distributed for free. As the cyclists approached our place, people flocked to the barriers around the road. Each car was accompanied by huge applause.EFEEDD BF B CAFFA And then suddenly the first cyclists passed by. They were so fast. And then others passed by. The crowd shouted and applauded.  And after a while everyone passed.  People ran back to the screens and watched the rest of the stage. Simon Yates won.
