If you love gardens and gardening, you won’t want to miss the RHS Malvern Spring Festival which takes place at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire from 9 to 12 May. There’s so much going on you’ll be spoilt for choice.

To start with RHS Malvern’s Floral Marquee is home to 70 hand-picked leading nurseries from around the UK. Get top tips on plants for your garden from these top nursery owners, and there will be masses of plants, shrubs, flowers, cacti and more, all on display for you. A real haven for gardeners looking to take something special home.

The Royal Horticultural Society judge all the displays and the show gardens on the Wednesday afternoon before the festival opens, so look out for the winners. 90% of Floral Marquee nurseries received Gold or Silver medals in 2018.

Eight stunning Show Gardens will be revealed at this year’s festival. Designers have drawn inspiration from a myriad of sources such as art, health and astronomy.

There’s lots of different zones for visitors to explore, and the theme of how gardening is a huge boost to health and well-being will be very much in evidence. Be sure to look around the Live Well zone and see how gardening and craft communities can achieve inspiring results when they come together.

The show is geared to all the family, so plenty for the little ones to enjoy with a host of activities from planting seeds to woolly workshops. And be sure to visit the Schools Garden Challenge.

If you enjoy gardening programmes on TV, then you won’t want to miss the enthralling talks in the theatres led by an amazing line-up of special guests. These include Monty Don OBE, Carol Klein, Raymond Blanc and John Torode. Visit the website to check days they are appearing.
