Adagio jazz up breakfast in all its Aparthotels – Meanderings through France n° 178
By Annick Dournes & Frederic de Poligny
In recent years we all have become aware of the importance of a healthy breakfast in our daily routine. Whether at home or on holidays we want quality, diversity and taste. Conscious of these demands Adagio Aparthotels have recently completely changed the breakfast buffet proposed to the guests. One more reason to opt for these affordable apartments set in the city centre of numerous towns worldwide.
It comes as no surprise that Adagio is Europe number 1 in apartment-hotel residences. The group has an extensive experience and proposes one to three rooms apartments all equipped with a kitchen for couples, families, groups of friends and even for people travelling for business matters. For a short city break or longer holidays you can find a wide range of destinations and enjoy all the services of an hotel and have the opportunity to cook your own meals without having to go to a restaurant for lunch and dinner every day. A degressive rate is available for stays over 4 nights. Today there are over 100 Aparthotels with 11,600 apartments but the group is growing fast and 50 more are expected in a near future.
Most Adagio Aparthotels are located in France main cities. No less than 17 ones are in different districts of Paris, near the Opera or the Eiffel Tower, in Montmartre or La Bastille… and also close to Disneyland Paris. You can also go to Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, Monte Carlo… and many other places of interest. Outside France you can go to Scotland (Edinburgh), Italy (Rome), Austria (Vienna), Germany (Berlin or Frankfurt), Morocco (Casablanca), Russia (Moscow) or Brasil (Sao Paulo or Salvador) and stay in an Adagio.
“La Manufacture Gourmande” is the name given to the new breakfast options proposed by Adagio since last February. When booking an apartment you can choose to have breakfast included or not, but if you didn’t, you can change your mind and have it for an extra 14 euro per person. All breakfast buffets have four different “offers” that may vary depending on local produce. Each hotel manager is free to add fresh seasonal products to the morning buffet and you can thus enjoy local food.
The “Bowl Bar” allows you to concoct your own muesli bowl with organic yogurt and your choice of granola, fruit salad, nuts, dried fruits and red fruit purée. At the “Toast Bar” you will have a choice of cheeses, cold meat and a wide range of breads including gluten free options, jams, honey, olive purée, fruit yogurts, eggs…
The ‘Bar à Gourmandises” offers a large choice of croissants, brioches, waffles, pancakes, sweet or savoury cakes… A few Adagio even have a “cooking corner” where each guest can make an omelette or fried eggs. All eggs are guaranteed free-range eggs. The fourth part of the buffet is the beverage bar with a choice of coffees, Kusmi teas, hot chocolates and the usual fruit juices. Each Adagio has its own style and decoration but all breakfast rooms are warm and cosy. Last but not least the staff is smiling and efficient.
The new breakfast formula already is very successful with guests who want to nicely recharge their batteries before starting a day of visits or business meetings.
Note that the “Manufacture Gourmande” is not available in the Adagio Access Aparthotels (the entry-level hotels of the group) but only in the classic Adagio Aparthotels. Making the difference is easy on the website when booking.
