At the foot of the iconic Gherkin skyscraper, beneath the City’s business district, Swingers is an underworld golfing and fast-food extraordinaire. Kiran Shergill paid it a visit recently.

Following the success of a pop-up in Shoreditch in 2014, Swingers opened in the Spring of 2016 to quickly become a firm favourite amongst the City contingent.

Walk-in tickets are priced at £13 per person, per round. Whilst booking in advance is advisory, there are plenty of tickets held back for on-the-day purchases. Daytime tickets can be bought from reception from midday onwards and evening tickets from 6pm onwards. Advance tickets are priced per person, per round at £10 for off-peak and £13 for peak slots. Opt for either the Lighthouse or the Windmill course, or,  pay twice and do both courses, with a well-deserved food and drink pit stop in between.

Bookings for December have now opened, so now is the time snap up your festive rounds! Whether it’s a Xmas social or a competitive date night, there’s plenty to keep you entertained at this underground City golfing paradise.

The Clubhouse is a two-storey dining arena at the heart of  the venue. Serving up a mish-mash of gourmet fast food from a tasty selection of London street food vendors: Pizza Pilgrims, Patty & Bun and DF Mexico. So whether it’s cheesy nachos, a juicy chicken burger or a spicy salami pizza, Swingers have got it covered. With an impressive cocktail menu and plenty of beers on tap, the golf clubs aren’t the only thing you’ll be swinging back!

So join the fun, and get down to the buzzing basement golfyard!
