In December of 2014, one of Europe’s leading budget design hotel chains, Motel One, opened its doors in London for the first time with the launch of Motel One London-Tower Hill. Situated on Minories Road, between Aldgate and Tower Hill tube stations, the 291 room hotel is within walking distance of many of the city’s tourist attractions. Motel One currently operates 48 hotels across Europe, and in line with its rapid growth strategy, plans to open more branches in cities including Manchester, Vienna, Amsterdam and Prague.
Motel One’s aim of providing good value for customers is reflected in the brand’s “great design for little money” motto and rooms in the new Tower Hill branch start from as little as £98 per night for a single room. Double rooms start at £113 and a buffet breakfast is available for an additional £9.50.Bookings can be made at the following website: www.motel-one.com/en.
The hotel’s welcoming reception area is known as the One Lounge and instantly puts visitors at ease. Leather armchairs, Chesterfield sofas and tweed-covered furniture all add a certain English charm to the room. In addition, the lounge comes complete with images of crown jewels, Swarovski crystals and contemporary candelabra, providing a truly regal feel to the hotel.

The rooms upstairs are equally as impressive and the comfortable beds are all lined with 100% Egyptian cotton bed linen. The bathrooms are fitted with granite and glass washbasins, as well as a monsoon rain shower. Finally, with gentle lighting, a flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities, each room provides a peaceful escape from the city outside. In addition, there is plenty of storage space for your luggage and should you wish to stay in the city for longer after checking-out, you are welcome to leave your belongings in the reception area at no extra charge.
