timeshare01Sunset over Golden Sands, Malta, is one of the most beautiful views in the world. I should know. I’m a Food And Travel Writer, and an experienced traveller!

Unlike some other Timeshare owners, we haven’t swapped our points, we’ve visited Malta every year as it’s such a great little island, with lots to do and see. My Dad had a posting there when I was a teenager and I went to school there for 5 years. My social life was great, and the island hasn’t really altered much. What changes there have been are for the better. It’s still the Malta I knew and loved!

timeshare02The Radisson is sheer 5-star luxury. Nothing is too much trouble for the efficient staff. Once our toilet was making a terrible noise. The maintenance man was there in 10 minutes to fix it. They’re very flexible with our week. As my husband’s self-employed, we have to fit our holidays around his work, and if there’s a spare apartment, they let us stay there whenever we want. Our apartment is meant to be at the front, but several times they’ve put us in a higher-priced apartment overlooking the sea at no extra charge.

There is a choice of bars and restaurants in and around the hotel, and a small supermarket if you want to eat in your apartment. We often go to the family-owned restaurant/bar on the beach, opposite the hotel. Their food and prices are good, and of course, the view is wonderful! Once a week is Members’ Evening, with free drinks and nibblies. It’s a chance to meet and mingle with the other Members who are staying in the hotel.

timeshare03There’s live entertainment every evening in one or more of the bars. We hire a car for the week, but my husband loves jumping on and off the buses, and exploring on his own while I laze by the pool, or visit one of the excellent markets in different towns. They’re huge! I always buy fresh fish there, plus several pairs of shoes. I love to cook and eat in the apartment. The open-plan kitchen is well-stocked. It seems so luxurious, eating round the table while gazing at the view, then stepping out on the balcony with a glass of excellent Maltese wine! There’s a huge choice of food. Fruit And vegetable stalls are set up by the roads, and vans visit all the towns and villages too. When we arrive, we stock up on food and wine from the nearby town, and they greet me every year like an old friend.

timeshare04Some evenings we go for a drive in the car and enjoy a meal in a local town. I can honestly say that I’ve never had a bad one. The quality, and the service, is excellent everywhere and the prices are reasonable.

So why are we selling, I hear you ask! Hubby John works far too hard. He should have retired several years ago. But we’ll be worse off, living on our pensions, so it’s time to call in the money. I hope you enjoy our Timeshare, and your stays in Malta as much as we have. You’re getting 5-star luxury for 2-star prices!
