yum-yum-food selectionI ate at Yum Yum Ninja recently, in the Lanes, Brighton, with Hubby John, plus our vegan daughter Rana and her boyfriend.
Asian fusion is probably the best way to describe it, with a unique twist on traditional dishes.
This is how they describe themselves;

There was plenty on the menu that our daughter could eat & she said that it was all absolutely gorgeous, and very Different. And we all totally agreed with her!
We didn’t know what any of the dishes were, which I absolutely loved! It’s always exciting to discover new food.
The waitress was marvellous. She really looked after us well, and genuinely caredl. She was very professional. She helped us to choose what to eat & she knew what she was talking about. In fact, all the staff were very professional and helpful. And they seemed to enjoy their jobs, which always makes such a difference to your eating enjoyment.
yum-yum-sashimiThree of us had the Yum Starter Platter to Share;
Free range chicken yakitori
Monkfish cheek skewers
Salt & pepper squid
Crispy pork
Edamame beans, which I’ve recently discovered. They’re available in supermarkets.
House special kimchi.
They put together a special vegan platter for Rana, but she still dipped into ours!
Then we had a selection of dishes, again recommended by our wonderful waitress.
Eating at Yum Yum Ninja is a sharing experience. The dishes come to the table individually when they’re ready. We all tucked in to everything – and there was plenty there. We couldn’t finish it all, which wasn’t through lack of trying!
yum-yum-gyoza-chicken-dumplingsAnd then came the desserts. OMG! We had the Taste of Yum Yum Desserts which is a selection of the sweet menu. Super-gorgeous!!!!!!!
Then we went upstairs to the cocktail bar, known as an Izdaya. We each had a Ninja Bar cocktail, prepared by the character mixologist.
It’s worth a visit to meet some of the customers. If you don’t know Brighton, it has a large, varied selection of eccentrics!
Outside is a huge seating area, with plenty of room for a marquee actually. It’s surrounded by buildings so it’s protected, and it’s beautifully lit
Yum Yum Ninja isn’t just a place to quickly grab a meal or a snack on your way to somewhere else. It’s an experience to be slowly savoured for the evening. And it’s unique. We loved it!
