This year the Assembly Hall Theatre pantomime will star much loved actor, TV star and Waterloo Road’s Grantley Budgen, Philip Martin Brown and children’s Hi-5 presenter Luke Roberts plus Sarah Jane Buckley from 01Hollyoaks in an unmissable family spectacular. Comedian and actor Noel Brodie will play Simple Simon and completing this year’s line-up is Stephen David who will be on hand as the hilariously over the top Dame Trott.

Brought to you by the same team behind Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, Aladdin and Peter Pan, JACK AND THE BEANSTALK will take you high above the clouds on a magical journey.

A familiar face on TV, PHILIP MARTIN BROWN will be stepping into the role of Fleshcreep. Best known for his role as Grantly Budgen in the television series Waterloo Road, he has also appeared in The Bill and has made appearances on many other British dramas, including Heartbeat, Midsomer Murders, New Tricks and Doctors. He is currently filming a new three-part drama Death Comes to Pemberley at Harewood House in Leeds, to be aired on BBC One this Christmas.

Joining Philip as ‘Jack’ will be LUKE ROBERTS, children presenter of CITV’s hit television show Hi-5 and Cartoonito.
He is also a singer and has supported bands such as LibertyX, Blazin’ Squad and Simon Webb on tour. No stranger to pantomime, Luke has received rave reviews playing the title roles in Aladdin and Dick Whittington and last year as Prince Frederick in Snow White with Lucy Benjamin in Basingstoke.

SARAH JANE BUCKLEY will be playing the role of the Fairy of the Forest. She is best known for her former role as Kathy Barnes in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, and as the iconic singer Eva Cassidy in Over The Rainbow the Eva Cassidy Story’. She also played Mrs Darling and The Mermaid in the Assembly Hall Theatre’s pantomime Peter Pan in 2010.

02Comedian NOEL BRODIE, known for his appearances in Live From Jethros, Laugh A Minute and The Big Laugh Show will play the loveable Simple Simon and STEPHEN DAVID, as Dame Trott, will add to the mayhem as she attempts to keep control of her adventure loving son. Needless to say madness and mayhem ensues!

Featuring a larger than life beanstalk and one very mean giant at the top of it, this classic tale will be brought to life in the Assembly Hall Theatres’ biggest pantomime yet!

MARTIN DODD, Director of UK Productions says: “We are delighted to bring together a super talented cast for this year’s Assembly Hall Pantomime. They are all seasoned pantomime performers and together with the terrific tale of Jack’s adventurous quest we can guarantee you plenty of giant laughs.”

Theatre Director of the Assembly Hall Theatre BRIAN McATEER says: “Over the past few years, together with UK Productions, we have staged Tunbridge Wells’ biggest and most spectacular pantomime and I can promise that Jack and the Beanstalk will be another giant and unmissable show!”

Staged by UK Productions, one of the country’s leading musical theatre and pantomime producers and the company behind last year’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Jack and the Beanstalk is the Christmas show you don’t want to miss. Pantomime at its best!

She beat all the men regularly, becoming the Top Rep in the UK, and 2nd in the world.) And then Catering took over. She did everything from the washing-up, to Silver Service Waitress, and Chef. A few times, she had to cook the meal, dash round the other side and Silver Serve it! In between all this, she wrote as often as she could, building up a reputation as a published short story writer, (Horror and a twist in the tale,) and a Poet. She has appeared as a Performing Poet, and a Demo Chef. Then she discovered the world of the Food & Travel Writer. And that’s what she has continued doing to this day.
